# check which card is being used, CHOOSE ONE
sudo prime-select query
sudo lshw -c display | grep NVIDIA
sudo lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 vga
sudo lspci | grep -i --color 'vga\|3d\|2d'
sudo inxi -Gx

• Opt 1. CLI install

sudo ubuntu-drivers devices
sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-390

sudo shutdown -r now
nvidia-smi

sudo nvidia-settings

• Opt 2. GUI install
  • software update manager
  • Software and Updates
  • Additional Drivers
  • When you are done, click on the Apply changes button to install the driver.
  • Reboot.
• Uninstall

sudo apt purge nvidia-*

sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-nouveau # switch back

sudo shutdown -r now
